Reflection. Unit1
In 1st
Unit I learnt different ways of giving definitions for new words that are interesting
and with unusual explanations.
We worked
in pairs, using crossword. It was a great method to learn the new vocabulary. I
like watching video. I think that teachers have to find out videos and use them
in classes; it will be also an effective way to teach the students new things,
not only by listening but also by watching.
Reflection(09.03.2013)
In Unit 2 I have learnt how to organize warning up activity or revision for regular and irregular verbs working with pictures and write mini topics about them.
We worked with cards and handouts. Handouts were on the wall, we were divided into several groups and worked with handouts, every time we walked around and looked through another group’s materials.
In the reading part we imagined of variants of ending, every person had different opinions, ending of the text “one October evening”. Classes were for several kinds of people- for listeners, -for readers,-for people who like writing,-for active people, who always move.
I have some suggestions: Is it possible to work on grammar exercises, I mean to find out that kind of works and discuss about it?
Reflection. Unit 4
Family conflicts-I think that such kind of topics will be interesting for most of teenagers. Small paragraphs were completed with pictures. In my opinion, work with topics with pictures will be more interesting then just reading. In grammar, we learnt present perfect also with pictures and extra worksheets that were given. We also worked with map. It was a little bit problem for myself, I think that it would be a little bit boring for students also. But actually, I like all of techniques and methods of teaching.

Reflection. Unit 5
Unit 5 A we
started with an activity “how to survive at a party”. The activity was in two
situations, how to start to speak at the party. I think, we can use such kind
of activities, situations for our English classes in order to help students to
manage it (for shy students).
5B. Verb+ ing
5C. we
worked with sign cards, like “No food here, please”, “Silence, exam in progress”.
Also, we
wrote our rules, own sign cards, draw signs, using have to and must.
I like this
activity a lot.
5D. was
devoted for sport. I have learnt not only sport games but also, prepositions.
In5. At the
department store.
We have
watched a video. Conversation between 2 people in a store and act out it
ourselves.
In previous
lessons we had an opportunity to work on line.
Reflection.
Unit 6
I like very
much lessons at this time. On 27of April we had an opportunity to meet with
Ercilia. It was a new thing for me to take a lesson from native speaker. We had
different kinds of activities like, Categories, “the good manner” game, “give
an example”, “find something”, “find someone who”, dilemma, bingo.
I like the
game with our names. We had to find outwards for different categories, like
parts of body, countries, fruits, etc.
I played
this game at my school with children of all grades. They all played with fun. After
that it was a discussion Club. It was very interesting. We watched a
documentary film about PNG, people, their like and traditions, food, houses. It
was strange for us, but we were interested in it and asked a lot of questions.
It was an extra informative lesson.
In Unit 6
we learnt conditional sentences, may / might.

Unit 8
Unit 8 was
an interesting. In every part I have learnt new information. For example: 8A-“I
hate weekends!” In this text there were a lotview points of different people
who likes weekends and who doesn’t like weekends. The most useful part was Unit
8B, for me ”How old is your body?” We worked with pairs, asking each other
questions in order to know how old is
your body. We learn new information about each other. Unit 8C “Waking up is
hard to do” In this part there are exercises mostly for matching; like matching
the sentences with pictures. There is a topic on theme. “Are you allergic to
mornings?” I like this topic, because it was and informative text. 8D “I am Jim. So, am I”.
–we had mostly listening activities.
Grammar
part for Unit 8-something, anything, nothing, quantifiers, too, not enough, so,
neither+ auxiliaries. We worked with handouts, and we were divided into groups
to explain each other the grammar. We did many exercises on it grammar.
In
conclusion, I can say that the Unit was as an Informative Unit.
According to your reflection, I understood that you like the process of the course and I like your being open in sharing your ideas.
